With DAEMON Tools Ultra 5.3 release a new item in Tools menu appeared. Now you can Grab a USB or Format a USB with our software.
Grabbing a USB will be helpful if you need to create an exact copy of all data on your device. The best way to use this feature is for backing Raspberry Pi SD card up. Format a USB option returns the SD card to the normal state, so you can use it as a storage device again.
To Grab a USB you need to enter Grab or Format a USB to the field in the main window, or click the Grab tile and pick SD Card and complete the following steps:
- Insert a USB device and choose it in the program. Press Refresh if the needed one is not on the list.
- Choose Grab an Image.
- Pick a path for the backup image file.
- Press Start.
To Format a USB you need to complete the following steps:
- Insert a USB device and choose it in the program. Press Refresh if the needed one is not on the list.
- Choose Format as a storage device.
- Choose the file system, set the device label.
- Press Start.
