Advanced Mount wizard allows you to choose the virtual or physical drive, mount point, DVD region and adjust other additional parameters while mounting an image or a virtual hard disk.
To go to the advanced settings while mounting an image, choose an image from the Images catalog and check Advanced Mount… option from its contextual menu. You also can enter Advanced Image Mount to the field in the main window, or click the Mount tile and pick Image.
DAEMON Tools Ultra permits to mount an image to Virtual Drive, or Physical Drive.
Mount an image to Virtual Drive:
- Choose the Image you want to mount.
- Choose the Virtual type of a drive.

Choose the type of a Virtual Drive: DT, SCSI, or IDE.
Please note, that SCSI and IDE drives require SPTD driver installed. You can install it via DAEMON Tools Ultra interface: choose SCSI or IDE drive and follow the insrtuctions in the app by clicking Install in the lower right corner. You will need to Allow DAEMON Tools Ultra to make changes to your device while the driver is installing. Or proceed to the page about the changes in Windows 10 version 1903, to learn more about how to manually install the SPTD driver. This requires a reboot after the driver is installed.

Choose the DVD Region for the protected image.

Choose how to Mount an image:
- Select a letter if you want to mount an image to Drive.
- Select a path to the empty folder formatted in NTFS file system if you want to mount an image to Folder.

Check Auto insert notification option to allow the system to get a message about the new virtual disc.
- Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.
Mount an image to Physical Drive:
- Choose the Image you want to mount.

Choose the Physical type of a drive.

Choose the physical Device you want to attach the image to
- Choose the Bus type: whether SCSI or IDE
- Check Media priority option to show which disc — virtual or physical — will be defined by default if both are inserted.
- Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.
