Advanced Mount wizard allows you to choose the virtual drive, mount point, DVD region and adjust other additional parameters while mounting an image or a virtual hard disk.

To go to the advanced settings while mounting an image, choose an image from the Images catalog and check Advanced Mount… option from its contextual menu. You also can enter Advanced Image Mount to the field in the main window, or click the Mount tile and pick Image.

Advanced Mount wizard differs depending on the type of the chosen image. If it is a virtual disc, then you will be able to:

Advanced Mount

  1. Choose the Type of the virtual drive. Note that some options are available only for SCSI and IDE emulation.
  2. Choose the DVD Region for the protected image.
  3. Choose how to Mount an image:
    • Select a letter if you want to mount an image to Drive.
    • Select a path to the empty folder formatted in NTFS file system if you want to mount an image to Folder.
  4. Check Auto insert notification option to allow the system to get a message about the new virtual disc.
  5. Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.

If you want to connect the virtual drive to the physical one, so the mounted image will look like a real disc put into this physical drive, choose a Physical Drive. Then you will be able to:

Advanced Mount

  1. Select a device.
  2. Choose the Bus type.
  3. Set Media priority: this option shows which disc — virtual or physical — will be defined by default if both are inserted.
  4. Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.
